Dolphins are hail-fellow animals. They should be loved and not killed for our selfish greed. The movie “The Cove” teaches us to protect these mammals as they soon become one of the endangered species of earth.According to the Mythbusters show in Discovery Channel which I watched, dolphins are rescuers of humans against sharks. Based on their findings, sharks are afraid of dolphins. You can see the full film stream at the link below,

While there is maybe some negative critiques of the movie “The Cove” which includes the Mayor of the town of Taiji and the chief of Taiji Fishery Union demanding that the movie does not respect dietetical customs and culture of some local communities, I certainly agree that killing of dolphins should be banned. The amazing part of the picture show “The Cove” was the way the film was shot. Producers of the movie had to formulate a plan on how to access the cove where the dolphins were covered by fishermen. Interestingly, a visual effects company named KernerFx gave some special HD photographic cameras that looked like rocks. These hidden cameras, masked as rocks, were used to shoot the movie.

“The Cove” picture did not only win the most powerful Oscars Awards for Best Actual Film but also gained different awards and recognitions from different movie critics circle. The Cove” is a film which holds the protection of dolphins against these individuals who passed on like to kill them for their meats. In Person, I don’t see the fact that individuals kill these dolphins for their meat because according to research, dolphin meats contain high levels of mercury that are 5 times the allowable mercury in our body and too much of this mercury can lead to mercury posioning.

The Cove [Blu-ray] $14.55 In the 1960s, Richard O’Barry enjoyed a lucrative career as a specialized animal trainer; he captured the five dolphins that were used in the popular television series Flipper, and taught them the tricks and special commands they used on the show. Four decades later, O’Barry has renounced his former life as a trainer and become an animal rights activist, speaking out against the hunting of aquatic mammals and keeping them in captivity. O’Barry is not welcome in Taiji, a town along the Japanese coast where hunting dolphins is a major part of the local economy, but he and a group of activist filmmakers made their way into the city as well as the carefully guarded harbor in hopes of documenting the abuse of dolphins by fisherman and the poisoning of the waters that has taken a toll on the marine ecology. O’Barry and his colleagues captured some beautiful underwater footage as well as shocking images of how the town’s fisherman have sullied the dolphins and their habitat, and director Louie Psihoyos has used this material as the basis for the documentary The Cove, which received its world premiere at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi |

Blue Blood [Special Edition] [Bonus CD] $21.59 The Japanese didn’t invent ’80s rock, but they sure took it to heart, and Blue Blood is definite proof of that if there ever was one. On this record, X-Japan move through the hard rock variations of their time with the ease of Ritchie Blackmore whipping out the “Smoke on the Water” riff for the umpteenth time. There’s even a glam rock detour (“Easy Fight Rambling”) and a power ballad, although for the most part the band is content to rock their hearts out, staying on the coordinate grid set by Iron Maiden, Guns N’ Roses, Queensrÿche and perhaps updated Thin Lizzy, with the results being not too far from what Helloween were doing at the time. Whether or not the Germans influenced X-Japan is up for debate, but the similarities are obvious, as the Japanese exhibit the same aptness for combining menacing guitar work with anthemic — or rather, in this case, cinematic — hook-laden melodies and performing it at a tempo able to get them a speeding ticket on a highway. Blue Blood is rounded out by the raspy but strong voice of Toshi, progressive tendencies (the 11-plus minute “Rose of Pain” has more ambition than a young politicians seminar), and a handful of good, if not entirely original, riffs. Although parts of the record may be seen as pompous or goofy, the album generally packs enough skill and enthusiasm to deliver the goods on par with its best genre associates, even if clearly following in their footsteps. [Sony/BMG's 2008 Special Edition included a bonus CD.] ~ Alexey Eremenko, Rovi Performers: Sanpei – Choir, Chorus; Seiichi – Choir, Chorus; Seiji – Choir, Chorus; Tusk – Choir, Chorus; Windy – Choir, Chorus; Taiji – Bass |

Houses 2 (Paperback) $64.34 Cutting edge private dwellings Beyond the fundamental notion of shelter, what defines a house? The broad-ranging selection of extraordinary dwellings in the Architecture Now! Houses series shows the concept to be infinitely malleable: one house seems to hover above the ground, another is embedded in it; some have stark minimal lines, others have tropical gardens; some are palatial, others monastic—all of them displaying remarkable structural and aesthetic mastery. From postmodern castles to hi-tech cabins, the Architecture Now! Houses series is a connoisseur`s choice of the world`s most remarkable new houses. Architecture Now!
